Default What is the difference between +dmg and more dmg

i see this mostly on warrior skills. like power attack does +dmg while gash (if bleeding) does xx more dmg.

what is the difference?

is more dmg a multiplier like your weapon dmg is or add after multiplier.

+Dmg is all the time, no matter what. If the hit lands, it does the extra damage.

Additional Damage is conditional. Your foe has to meet the certain conditions before the secondary damage occurs. Take Mind Freeze. First it does so much damage. Then if you have more energy than them, it does even more damage. If not, the damage doesnt occur.

It seems that +damage from skills is just tacked on to the total after factoring character level and monster armor. I noticed this a few days ago while playing a ranger in presearing. I was attacking Bill the Bull with a mediocre (5-7 damage) bow and dealt only 1-2 damage each time, with far more 1's than 2's. However, when using Power Shot (+10 damage) I always hit for 11-12. The bonus skill damage was apparently unaffected by Bill's armor.

If anyone has evidence to refute this finding, I'd be interested in hearing it.
